Nothing wrong with his comments at all, he's probably correct, people looking for a reaction, and it was an easy way of getting it.
Why should he condem it either????
Not his job to condem it, is it ? He might even be racist himself ?
Which as far as I recall he's allowed to be by law, just against the law to air your views, FIFA & UEFA might have an agenda to kick racism out of the game, which is one thing, kicking it out of the billions who pay to watch it, worldwide every year is an impossible task.

They may have been Croation Hindus or Bhuddists, trying to reclaim their symbol of love and well being.
Nazis and Jews have no right to insist the symbol is bad. It's like banning Charlie Chaplin moustaches just because Hitler sported one.
